Petite escapade sur la Sunshine Coast

Aller sur la Sunshine Coast en provenance de Squamish ou de Vancouver, cela signifie conduire 30-40 minutes vers le quai Horseshoe Bay, prendre un traversier d'à peine de 35 minutes pour ensuite se sentir complètement ailleurs! En accostant à Gibson, on peut déjà respirer l'air du bord de mer, cela me rappelle la Gaspésie.

Je vous partage mon itinéraire d'un séjour relax et économique à profiter des sources d’eau, des promenades en nature et des petits commerces locaux. 

Friday : 

Ferry at 9:45 AM 

Arrive in Gibson 🚙   
Coffee and snack at Black Bean Coffee in Gibsons ☕ 

Hike and viewpoint at Soames Hill!

Picnic and swim at Soames Beach 🌊 

Beer at Persephone Farm 🍻 

Drive 🚙 

Chill stop at Davis Bay 🌅

Walk along the beach in Sechelt 🚶 🚶 

Camping and dinner at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park ⛺ 🌳 

 

Saturday : 

Shopping in Sechelt 

Swim and chill at Baker Beach (on Francis Rd) 🌊 ✌

Canoe on Ruby Lake and swim from an island 🌴 (rentals from Ruby Lake resort $20/hour)

Night by the sea at West Resort campground ⛺

 

Sunday : 

Breaky at the campground by the sea ⛺ 

Hike Skookumshock to watch the tides and currents (you must synchronize with the tides schedule) 🌊 🌊 🌊 

and see some marine life 🐡🐙⭐️

Snack at the bakery at the base of the hike

🚗

Quick swim at Dan Bosch Park (Ruby Lake) 🏊 🏖 

🚙 

Shop at Sechelt Fish Market (closes at 4:00) for shrimps and cod 🐟 

Homemade dinner by the sea 🍽

Ferry back in the evening
